OKD Dialogue
The OKD Dialogue is a platform of the Institute which hosts scholars/speakers from other organizations to deliver lectures, round table discussions, colloquium, symposiums on specific themesthat involve larger policy issues and current affairs,The OKD Dialogue is a monthly programme and over the decades, many scholars, public analystsas well as youngscholars have participated inOKD Dialogue.
Seminars/ Conferences/Collaborations with Institutions
The Institute organizesseminars, conferences, round tables, and panel discussions in collaboration with other Universities and Institutions and Academic Bodies. It also collaborates with other academic institutions, think tanks in taking up joint collaborative research in broad research areas and thrust of the Institute.
Foundation Day Lecture
The Institute celebrates its foundation day, 30th March. To commemorate the day, every year Institute hosts the Foundation day Lecture which is delivered by an eminent scholar/social activist /public analyst on any themes relevant to thrust areas of Institute’s mandate.
Prof. Atul Goswami Memorial Lecture
The Institute stands as a think tank for the region. Envisioning this focus,the second Director of the Institute Late Atul Goswami took the initiative to establish the North East Economic Association and it was launched at OKDISCD in the year 1997. Since then, NEEA has grown to be a vibrant academic body in the Northeast. As a commemorative tribute to the efforts of Late Prof. Atul Goswami, the Institute hosts the Prof. Atul Goswami Memorial Lecture in collaboration with NEEA during the annual conference of NEEA. An eminent economist is invited and hosted by the Institute to deliver this lecture.
