Over the years, the Institute has been identified as a nodal centre by the Government Agencies, International Agencies and other professional bodies/institutions for training and capacity building in the impact assessment of development projects for professionals. The Institute has trained working professionals in assessing various development projects, in Northeast India and Bhutan.

The Institute has been organizing various training and capacity-building programmes with the aim of building capacities among working professionals to evaluate and monitor various development projects in Northeast India for officials of state governments from the region.
