Young Social Scientists’ Conference

The Institute launched the programme Young Social Scientists Meet in the year 2012 to provide a platform to young researchers from Northeast India and other states of India working on various issues of North East India. Initially supported by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), the Institute at presents hosts this programme yearly and it has been renamed as Young Social Scientists’ Conference. This annual event provides a unique platform for young scholars in presenting their research work, interacting with experts and resource persons from across the country, engaging in mutual learning. The programme is an attempt to create a forum for young researchers from the region to engage with each other through debates, deliberations, and building networks.
